These special heritage trips give children more time in Fuling and at the orphanage.

From Beijing Fun to a  "Welcome Home" in Fuling

The personal invitation, extended to Fuling Families from the orphanage staff and the Bridge of Love Adoption Service (BLAS), includes a visit for Fulingers to Beijing for a tour of the matching room at CCAA, a calligraphy lesson, tour of the Forbidden City, Tian'an Men Square and the Great Wall. Then on to Chongqing, where children can visit the zoo to see pandas.  Children and their parents will have the opportunity to view their children's complete files at the Civil Affairs office.

In Fuling, children will meet aunties who cared for them as babies.  In cases when foster parents can be located, foster parents will also be on hand to see their former foster children.  BLAS designs these trips to help answer children's questions and give them great memories of their visit to their Chinese hometown.

A Returning Fulinger Plays with Babies

The party in Fuling will include a grand welcome home for the children and a stay of four nights and three days. The Fulingers will have the opportunity to spend time at the new orphanage site, where they can see see favorite nannies and play with the waiting babies and preschoolers.  One afternoon they will make dumplings with the orphanage staff and have dinner with them at the new orphanage.

Children and families will also visit the old orphanage, which is now a primary school.  They will see the rooms where they lived as babies and also see what school is like for primary kids in China.  The old orphanage rooms are now classrooms!
