Playful, focused interaction  helps the kids meet their milestones

Babies waiting to be adopted, and babies who will never be adopted, receive special attention at the Fuling Social Welfare Institute.   Children with and without disabilities learn to roll over, crawl, and interact with the world around them.  This innovative, cost-effective program is in its fifth year.  Your help is necessary if the children are to continue to receive this kind of loving attention so crucial to normal growth.  Your donation will make sure a child at the orphanage stays on target physically, mentally and emotionally!

Debbi and her inspiration for pounding all those miles: daughter Emma Kate

This fall Debbi Clarke, proud mom to Emma Kate (Fu Xin Jie) and son Redding, ran the New York Marathon on November 1st to help raise funds to support our little "First Huggers" at the orphanage in Fuling. 

Debbi and her husband Walt met Emma Kate in January 2004 and have had a soft place in their hearts for the children who live in Fuling orphanage ever since.

Debbi trained with a friend and after completing two half marathons earlier this year they decided to go for the 40th Anniversary New York Marathon together.

Debbi says: "Running for the children in Fuling will make the race all the more meaningful for me, especially after returning with Emma Kate to Fuling on the Homecoming trip last November. That trip made such an impression on us, particularly the time that we spent with the children and staff at the orphanage. We could see, firsthand, the impact that Fuling Kids International has on the well-being and care for these precious children."

Love Has No Borders

Fuling Kids International is a not-for-profit association of families and friends devoted to our children from Fuling and their first home in China.  Fu families live in the United States, Canada, Australia, China, Sweden, France, Spain, Ireland, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Iceland!
