They Ran for the Kids
and raised over $2,635 for First Hugs!

A baby needs love and interaction to thrive.  The First Hugs Infant Nurture program at the orphanage matches trained, caring "aunties" with infants and toddlers to work and play with them for six hours each day.

These parents ran the 5K or 10k at the Towpath Marathon in Cleveland to help keep these these kids in loving, helpful hands.

Give whatever you can to help the little ones receive attention and special care.  It costs $1000 per month to provide "First Hugs" to every infant at the orphanage.

Playful, focused interaction to help the kids meet their milestones

Babies waiting to be adopted, and babies who will never be adopted, receive special attention at the Fuling Social Welfare Institute.   Children with and without disabilities learn to roll over, crawl, and interact with the world around them.  This innovative program is in its fourth year.  Your help is necessary if the children are to continue to receive this kind of loving attention so crucial to normal development.

Your pledge says to these wonderful, deserving kids at the Fuling orphanage, "Yes, you matter."

Thank you for giving.

Children from Fuling are these runners (and walkers) inspiration

Suzanne and Olen Scott, parents of Sydney Hui:  "We are so passionate about this program because Sydney was a First Hugs baby. She was in the program for 5-6 months while at Fuling and we believe the impact it has had on her life and ours is huge. She is an incredibly bright, funny and engaging three year old who has enriched our lives more than we ever could have imagined."

Anne Olsen and daughter Sara Lan: "We’re forever grateful to Sara's “aunties” for taking such great care of our baby girl and I’m participating to show a token of my appreciation and to raise money to support the programs that enable them to continue doing the wonderful job they do with other children."

Michell and Landon Weeks, parents of daughter Lily Yan:  "Landon and I feel very passionate about this program because Lily was a First Hugs baby. She was in the program for 6 months while at Fuling and we believe the experience and impact that this program had on her life and ours is invaluable. Lily is a very happy, secure, and loving little girl. She has blessed our lives beyond belief."
